2015 Dubrovnik hackathon startups

Startups launched from last year's hackathon

Following last year's success, we proudly present the 2016 Smart City Startups Conference, where the world's foremost innovators on smart cities join the local community to develop smart city startups that use technology to solve the real problems of their city.

This 5-day event consists of a conference, workshops, and a hackathon, with the goal of spreading knowledge, motivating developers and other citizens, and finally, developing real-world solutions using the latest smart city technology. The top 2015 Dubrovnik hackathon teams have already launched multiple projects in the city and are a truly inspirational success story.

Nathan Seidle
Nathan Seidle

Making his first appearance in the region, we are excited to welcome Nathan Seidle, founder and CEO of SparkFun Electronics, as the keynote speaker at this year's conference. One of the biggest heavyweights behind the maker movement, Nathan bootstrapped SparkFun while still an engineering student, then grew his passion into one of the biggest open-source hardware providers for the global maker community.

Nathan's experience, vision, and drive is exactly the kind of spirit this conference is all about. His words will truly be an inspiration to young aspiring makers, engineers, and developers.
