Jason Whittet is currently part of GE’s Intelligent Cities team. Working on Smart Street Lights solution. Most recently, he worked with the International Data Corporation’s (IDC) public sector practice where he led local, state and federal government business development for the global technology research and advisory firm. Before IDC, Whittet helped launch the Massachusetts Broadband Institute as Deputy Director and contributed to the successful completion of the $100MM, 1,200 mile MassBroadband 123 fiber-optic network in western Massachusetts. He has also held positions with Comcast in government relations, with the Massachusetts State Senate Ways and Means Committee as Project Director, and with the Allston-Brighton Community Development Corporation as an AmeriCorps Volunteer. Additionally, Whittet served for six years in the Massachusetts Army National Guard. He has a Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University and a Master’s in Public Administration from Northeastern.
